Great question. The main difference is size: Broadway theaters seat 500 or more people, while Off-Broadway theaters are more intimate, typically seating between 100 and 499. But don’t let the name fool you—Off-Broadway shows are just as powerful, innovative and entertaining as anything on the Great White Way.

NYC Off-Broadway Week is one of NYC Tourism's signature community marketing programs. Taking place biannually, in winter and fall, the program is limited-time promotion offering 2-for-1 tickets to some of New York City's most fascinating theatrical fare.

With the NYC Off-Broadway Week 2-for-1 ticket offer, you get 50% off the price of each ticket. A service fee will be applied on a per-ticket basis. 

Once the program is live—usually about a month in advance of the program start date—you'll be able to view the full list of participating shows on our NYC Off-Broadway Week page. You’ll be able to browse productions by genre and location to find the show that’s right for you.
