Today, Accor is proud to announce two transformative partnerships that will reshape the hospitality landscape in India, a market poised for remarkable growth. We are joining forces with InterGlobe Enterprises, India’s foremost travel conglomerate, to create India’s fastest-growing Hospitality Enterprise, with a goal of establishing 300 hotels by 2030. This strategic collaboration leverages InterGlobe’s strong leadership in travel and hospitality alongside Accor’s extensive global expertise. Enhanced by our exclusive collaboration with Treebo Hospitality Ventures, one of India’s leading branded budget hotel platforms, we are positioned to become India’s third-largest hospitality player with over 30,000 rooms. We are also super excited to introduce a first-of-its-kind loyalty program collaboration with IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd). By integrating BluChip Rewards and ALL - Accor Live Limitless, we aim to provide enhanced benefits and seamless experiences for our members: rewards points sharing, co-branded loyalty and seamless two-way conversion. This would enable members to earn and redeem points across flights, stays and experiences. Ahead of the International Hospitality Investment Forum (IHIF) EMEA, we are pleased to share an overview of our 2024 development activity and growth prospects for 2025 and beyond. Record performance last year sets a strong foundation for continued expansion. In 2024, we expanded our portfolio with the opening of 293 hotels and resorts, adding 50,000 rooms. As a result, our global network now includes over 5680 hotels and 850,000 rooms in operation, with an additional 1381 properties and 230,000 rooms in the pipeline. Over the past five years, our pipeline has grown in value at a faster rate than in volume, enhancing the overall quality of our portfolio. The company's development momentum was particularly strong across MEA APAC, with the Middle East and Asia markets leading the way. More than 60% of our planned 2025 openings are concentrated in these high-growth regions. Notably, 58% of new hotel projects in 2024 were conversions, driven by brands like Emblems Collection, MGallery Hotel Collection, Mondrian Hotels, Handwritten Collection, Mercure Hotels and TRIBE Hotels. As conscious travel, bleisure, and gig tripping continue to shape the industry, we see significant growth opportunities ahead. Accor proudly announced the continued expansion of the Handwritten Collection across Europe that will see the opening of more than 10 new hotels in the region over the coming months. The brand is seeing increased interest from hotel owners and developers, leading to extensive expansion across Europe. Handwritten Collection will soon debut in Greece, Switzerland, Albania and Hungary. It will also welcome four new hotels in the Netherlands in key destinations like Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Maastricht, and continue to expand its footprint in France, with openings in Corsica, Brittany and the Basque Country. Philippe Bijaoui said: “Handwritten Collection has generated strong interest amongst our development partners and has gained traction in global markets quite quickly; these openings are a testament to the appeal of authentic hotels curated with passion. It is slated to open in spring. 🇮🇹 Hotel Giacomo Morra Alba – Handwritten Collection – Opening this spring, following a complete renovation, the latest Italian property in the Handwritten Collection portfolio pays tribute to the celebrated entrepreneur and restaurateur whose name it bears. The 92-room hotel, including four suites, will blend contemporary comfort with local heritage. 🇳🇱 Grand Canal Boutique Hotel Amsterdam – Handwritten Collection – This 25-room hotel in the heart of Amsterdam with its enviable canal-side location, opening this summer, marks the second Handwritten Collection property in the Netherlands, following the opening of Hotel Ter Zand – Handwritten Collection last year. 🇫🇷 Hotel Kasano Calvi – Handwritten Collection – Located overlooking the sea and the Calvi citadel in Corsica, this 39-room hotel will feature its host’s passion for modern art, with several rooms featuring unique pieces. For those looking to relax, the spa facilities tick all the boxes. The hotel will welcome its first guests in April. 🇫🇷 Hôtel de l’Abbaye du Tronchet – Handwritten Collection – This newly opened property was once an abbey and is located between Rennes and St Malo. With beautiful spa and wellness facilities, alongside MICE spaces, the star of the show is the hotel’s restaurant whose signature dish is a modern take on a “galette saucisse”, a traditional street-food dish from Britanny.
