We are continuing our commitment to responsible tourism through our partnership with World Monuments Fund (WMF). Together, we're focused on preserving cultural heritage, promoting sustainable tourism, and strengthening local communities. As part of the 2025 World Monuments Watch program, Accor is supporting four strategic projects that align with our vision for sustainable growth and geographic presence. These include the restoration of La Chapelle de la Sorbonne in France, efforts to preserve the Qhapaq Ñan Andean road system across South America, the protection of the historic Mining Landscape of Serifos in Greece, and the revitalization of Bhuj’s historic water systems in India. By engaging with these projects, Accor reaffirms its dedication to responsible hospitality, ensuring that tourism benefits both the environment and the communities we serve.

At the 5th edition of the Qatar Economic Forum, themed “The Road to 2030: Transforming the Global Economy,” world leaders and CEOs discussed the future of key sectors, including global tourism. Accor’s Chairman and CEO Sébastien Bazin joined a focused panel moderated by Bloomberg’s Joumanna Bercetche to explore critical topics shaping tourism today and tomorrow: luxury, sustainability, regional competition, and beyond. The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) stands out as a global tourism hotspot. Qatar’s tourism is experiencing remarkable growth, welcoming over 5 million visitors in 2024, fueled by luxury developments such as Raffles Hotels & Resorts and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Doha. Looking ahead, Accor plays a key role in this growth, with strategic development underway, such as the upcoming opening of Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts Doha in 2025, designed to meet the needs of a diverse and evolving traveler base. Qatar and the Gulf region’s strategic investments, the unified GCC visa, and a commitment to authentic, culturally rich experiences are positioning them as premier destinations for both luxury and business travelers. Accor is reshaping the future of meetings and events with the launch of a global digital ecosystem. Connecting over 5,600 hotels worldwide and offering 2.5 million sqm of event space and 800,000+ guestrooms, this global platform will streamline booking for clients, making it easier to reserve venues, guestrooms, and catering services. Plus, the integration of the ALL - Accor Live Limitless Accor loyalty program adds even more value. Developed in partnership with leading tech providers like MeetingPackage, Oracle, Backyou, iVvy , and Amadeus, the platform will be available by late 2025 as a pre-launch, with additional features added in early 2026. This digital transformation supports the growing demand for in-person meetings, empowering companies to enhance engagement, boost revenue while improving employee well-being through face-to-face events. Accor continues to deepen its development in Eastern Europe, where the intersection of hospitality, heritage, and strategic investment is shaping the region’s transformation into a powerful engine for tourism and economic growth. Our Deputy CEO, Jean-Jacques Morin, was on site at the FII PRIORITY Europe 2025 forum in Tirana, Albania, to speak about investment opportunities in Europe. He shared the stage with other international speakers to discuss how destinations can scale responsibly through infrastructure, education, and public-private collaboration—while preserving their cultural identity and natural assets. Esteemed guests included President Emmanuel Macron and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, who addressed Europe’s role in a world reshaped by shifting supply chains, evolving power dynamics, and accelerating technological revolutions. Jean-Jacques Morin emphasized the need to combine agility in the short term with long-term stability—a crucial balance for Europe to think quickly and make swift decisions, while building a strong future. As Richard Attias, CEO of the FII Institute aptly stated: “Today, Europe stands at a crossroads… This continent, anchored in values of openness, rule of law, and human capital, is reasserting its relevance.”

At Future Hospitality Summit 2025, we reaffirmed our commitment to sustainable growth and innovation in the Middle East, aligning closely with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. Our leaders engaged in dynamic discussions on the importance of sustainable practices, climate adaptation, and community engagement in hospitality.
