Did you know conflict and climate change can threaten cultural heritage around the world? Since 2016, the Cultural Protection Fund (CPF) – a partnership between the British Council and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport – has helped safeguard heritage at risk, from architecture and languages to music, crafts and more. As we approach its 10th anniversary next year, the CPF continues to support vital projects, including: ☀️ Reviving the indigenous crafts of Pakistan’s Hazara community ☀️ Preserving Iraq's endangered watercraft heritage ☀️ Protecting the customs and traditions of the Ik community in northeast Uganda.
