Panic! At the Disco Scores Third Alternative Airplay No. 1 With ‘Viva Las Vengeance’

The act reigns with the title-track lead single from its forthcoming album.

Panic! at the Disco returns to No. 1 on Billboard‘s Alternative Airplay chart, as “Viva Las Vengeance” rises to the top of the July 9-dated survey.

The song is the Brendon Urie-fronted outfit’s third No. 1 on the survey. The band first ruled with “Say Amen (Saturday Night)” for two weeks in June-July 2018, followed by a 16-week reign for “High Hopes” beginning that November.

In between “Hopes” and “Vengeance,” the band reached No. 6 with “Hey Look Ma, I Made It” in July 2019.

Panic! at the Disco first reached Alternative Airplay in 2006 with the No. 5-peaking “The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide Is Press Coverage.” As of “Vengeance,” the band boasts 14 chart entries, seven of which have hit the top 10.

Concurrently, “Vengeance” ranks at No. 11 on Rock & Alternative Airplay, after reaching No. 10 in June, with 2.4 million audience impressions in the June 24-30 tracking week, according to Luminate.

The track also reached No. 14 on the multi-metric Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart in June; it currently ranks at No. 36. In addition to its radio airplay, “Vengeance” earned 820,000 official U.S. streams in the latest tracking week.

“Vengeance” is the title-track lead single from Panic! At the Disco’s seventh studio set, due Aug. 19. It’s the follow-up to Pray for the Wicked, which debuted as the act’s second No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in July 2018.
