About the initiative
Brazilian G20 presidency was the first to prioritize “women in trade” as a key topic. As a response, the B20 Brasil created the Women in Trade Initiative in which the theme was assessed regarding challenges and best practices and discussions were promoted

Promote inclusive growth and combat hunger, poverty and inequality
About its goal
Ensure that "Women in Trade" remains a priority within the G20 and B20's trade and investment framework, making the agenda recurrent and monitored for progress
Motivation & B20 Brasil efforts
Development of a methodology/study that will be published annually to monitor progress on addressing the main challenges identified in the Women in Trade B20 Brasil initiative
Mobilize international organizations to commit to knowledge production and institutional support.
Publication of a joint statement from the involved organizations and B20.
Formal pledge at the plenary towards the continuity of the initiative
